I've never done a commentary before, but the anniversary of posting this fic was coming up and I thought it'd be fun. This wasn't the first fic for Critical Role that I started writing, but it's the first one that I was inspired to keeping working at, and I'm still quite proud of it. I took the title from the Zoey Van Goey song The Cake and Eating It, and it was astercrash, my dear friend and beta reader, who suggested the slight twist on the words. The working title for this fic was "the inherent eroticism of getting dunked on."
